Adding an I/O device makes sense.  Removing an I/O device only makes 
sense in cases where space is a premium. The ThinkPad 600E solved that 
problem by making the floppy an add-on device via a special connection 
and cable.

USB stick support would be nice.  But from reading the FreeDOS 
archives, it doesn't look like it will be happening any time soon.
