Interesting...Once I got mine working (which was a hassle, and I used
the RW disks to avoid the coaster problem :-) I've never had a problem.
But that may be because my drive is SCSI, and I use the Adaptec EZ-Disk
Creator. (under WinNT only)
FWIW, the Yamaha people (my drive manufacturer) said I'd have to put the
"512-byte block jumper" on the drive to use it under Unix (which would
reduce to size from 650M to 5??M per disk). Not so, the jumper is not
on, I've created 640M disks, readable by multiple systems & OS's (the
text files are readable. :-) All in all, I'm thrilled by this setup,
hardware & software; most of the accolades goto the cdrecord people!
